Worship & Music

Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. -Ephesians 5:18(b)-20

The congregation of American Canyon Community Church meets on Sundays at 10:00am. We meet in person in our Worship Center as well as offer our service virtually through Facebook.

Our congregation enjoys a casual, friendly, contemporary worship style. The Lord’s Supper (Communion) is regularly held on the first Sunday of each month. We typically begin our Worship Services in song with a small break for announcements followed by prayer, scripture reading, the pastor’s message, and closing with a worship song and a blessing for the week ahead.

One of our long-time members once said that our church was made to worship in song and that has been proven time and time again by the fact that God has always blessed us with musically and artistically talented people at ACCC. From days past, when we had a choir leading hymns and special music in every service as well as hosting special events and holiday services, to now, with our incredibly talented worship team along with the occasional choir for holidays, we have always been richly blessed with beautiful talent to lead our congregation is Spirit-filled worship.

Our worship team (including our tech team) is made up of about 15 volunteers that love God and have a passion for creating an atmosphere that lends itself to effectively leading our congregation in worship through music and other arts. The desire of the worship team is to create a space where God can use the team member’s gifts and creativity to help people connect with God on a deeper level. Above all else, the ultimate desire is for God to be glorified by all that is said and done during our Worship Services.

Some of our favorite services throughout the year are special services around holidays. We love to have special, meaningful services particularly for Good Friday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. It’s in some these special holiday services that the gifts and passions that God has given us really shine.

While our worship team does a great job leading the congregation in worship on a weekly basis as well as during special services and events, our worship team is also dedicated to community outreach and often leads the congregation in outreach events. The team has taken “the show” on the road as “The Believers”, a band performing songs from the 50’s & 60’s, for various community events and organizations such as the community 4th of July festival, our local American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life” events including a fundraising “Sock Hop” that we spearheaded for about 6 years, as well as a Community Center fundraising event about 2 hours away that we turned into a camping retreat for the team. We have also held a “Sock Hop Back-To-School” event for our church’s preschool ministry, Noah’s Ark. Our team loves to use the gifts that God has given them to reach out to our community and hopes to do more of it in the future.
